Calories burned on a Elliptical trainer (cross trainer)?

I have such question whilst working out i have been experimenting with different cardio machines and the cross trainer is the best!..... i go on it for around 2 hours with a 5 minute break after the first hour.... my heart hate is high and go at a high level on an average of 60 rpm which a believe to be a good pace.... my question is that when im done it says i have burned around 2000 calories which is great to see but i never really think i am burning 2000 calories as it is not reflected in my weight loss and after doing this for a whole month i have only seen a weight loss of 10 pounds which is great but i was hoping for the 15-20 pound mark which my trainer also expected! i started at 13 stone 5 pounds and now reside in the 12 stone zone but was wondering if the cross trainer lies? ay help would be appriciated. thanks =-)

And I found this way They're not lying... Ellipticals are like miracle machines! They're the most efficient at burning fat, but they put the least stress on your joints. You're getting your workout and burning the calories like it says :)
