How can i get from a uk size 14 to a uk size 8/10?
I have such question I'm currently a size 14 and want to get down to a size 8/10 i'm going to go swimming twice a week and go on an elliptical trainer for 10 minutes a day. I'm going to cut out junk food, and i'm going to eat more fruit/veg and drink more water will this be possible? if so, how long will it take to reach my goal? thanks for your help!!

Burning calories on an elliptical trainer?
I've got this question I'm a female. 13 years old (soon 14). I weigh 135 pounds. I'm 5'2. I just used my elliptical trainer for exactly 20 minutes and it says that i burnt 274 calories and 87.2 fat calories. I was going at a normal speed. -Not slow-Not fast- and the resistance was on number 2 from 0 to 150 calories and resistance on 3 from 150 to 200 and then back on 2 from 200 to 274. So do you think that this is right? Do you think i really brunt 274 calories...? Do you think i burnt more or less? Thankyou. :) (P.S. I don't have a bigbig fancy elliptical, it's just a 300$ one called Weslo monument 620.)
And I found this way Unlikely you burned that many calories in only 20 minutes, but possible. FWIW, calorie displays on exercise machines are not accurate. There is no way to measure calories you burned without hooking you up to a lot of tubes, hoses, electrodes and a lot of very expensive equipment. Exercise equipment manufacturers put in a SWAG (Silly Wild *** Guess) by estimating human digestive and mechanical efficiency times horsepower required to drive the footpads. There are an awful lot of error margins and individual variation in between your mouth (where the food/fuel/calories go in) and the footpads, where you push the horsepower. Calorie displays are no more than a marketing gimmick. Judge your workout by speed, heart rate, distance, and elapsed time. Did you do better than last time? Go farther? Then its a success.

Are You Need Info About Horizon Fitness Elliptical Trainer?
Running while body building is it a good idea? I keep getting different answers!?
Are You know decision of this problem? Any personal fitness buffs out there know the answer to this question.. I am working out at the gym 4 days a week (lifting weights mainly) but I have found that in my process of bulking up i am also putting on weight, I used to run and bike at least 3 times a week but since I have been weight lifting I have cut that back to once or twice a week at the most... but I have put on fat with my muscle gain. as I want to loose the weight I have got back into running but my personal trainer told me that its a bad idea because running burns fat AND muscle.. but other people have told me that that isn't true.. you can run and lift weights at the same time. Help! I am confused.
My favorite decision is Geez, and just when I was thinking idiot personal trainers were myths after all. Anyway, yes you can do Cardio exercise while body building, you can even do it daily, it's a great idea! Just don't OVER do it. You're goal is to avoid gaining too much fat, and to stay healthy, not build endurence strength/slow twitch muscle, which would be counter productive to you're bodybuilding. If your goal is to bulk up on muscle, do about 30-40+ minutes of cardio once daily or less often, based on your level of fitness. Eat a clean diet with a calorie surplus, and lift weights. Keep in mind body builders do go on phases of bulking and cutting for a reason, you will most likely gain at least some fat with your muscle. Just remember not to wear yourself out in you're cardio sessions to the point where it will impact your lifting. PS. The most important thing to achieving your goal with your training is your diet. If you aren't making the progress you want, look at your diet first, it is often and seriously underestimated in importance.
