What are good exercised that I can do with an injured leg? Easy 10 points.?

I've got this question I asked this question the other day, and I only got one answer. It wasn't helpful, so I thought I would ask it again. Sorry for the repeat. Last year I was in an accident and my leg got badly injured. I can't really bend my knee anymore, my calf muscle is damaged, as well as my Achilles tendon and the bones in my foot. Since I haven't been able to walk well I've become pretty sedentary and I've gained 20 pounds. I need exercises that I can do that don't use my legs. I cannot walk, run, bike, climb stairs, use an elliptical machine or anything else that would require me to bend or put weight on my leg. I need ideas for things that I can do sitting or laying down. I can't afford a personal trainer, so I would appreciate anyone's thoughts on simple exercises.

Ok, what I can say about this the first thing that comes to mind is swimming. you can use your arms and just let your legs trail behind. Also weight lifting. situps. pushups. if doing straight leg pushups is too much strain on your legs you can put the knee of your injured leg on the floor. basically you're going to have to work the rest of your body instead of your legs. I would try using your good leg as much as possible. your leg muscles are much larger than your arm muscles, and consume more calories when they work, so it's easier to burn calories by using your legs. maybe try riding a stationary bike with your injured leg propped up on something, so that you're only pedalling with your good leg. also if you go to a gym you can do leg extensions and leg presses with your good leg on the weight machines. good luck.
