Help me lose weight, Please !?

I have such question hi, i need to lose about 15 kilos (or 33 pounds), and I want to try and do it before Christmas (relatives coming to visit). I can walk and ride a bike, use elliptical trainer, etc, but i cant run (very bad asthmatic and bad back problems). I'm no where near a pool or ocean, so swimming cant be part of my weight loss program! I'm eating lots of fruit, and cutting down on fatty/sugary things, but nothing is getting rid of my weight. Also, when I exercise, my thighs always build up muscle and look bigger, i dont want that!! i want to have skinner thighs. any suggestions would greatly help me, thanks in advance cheers sharon

In this case my opinion is Walking is not as good as the elliptical trainer or cycling. Most people don't realise that eating loads of fruit when dieting defeats the purpose. Fruit, in the end , contains sugar. It might be natural sugar, but it is sugar, don't stop eating fruit, but in this country government guidelines suggest eating 5 items of fruit a day, well do that. Stick to 5 items a day, make sure one of them is an orange at least. Best diet: 1) Rice (it is carbohydrate but does not have the same bonding effect as other carbohydrates, pasta is sticky as is potatoes, the best food high in carbohyrdrates is rice. 2) steamed vegetables or boiled vegetables with the water drained out, maybe leaves the veg raw a little, boil for 10 instead of 20, this way you keep most of the nutrients. My favourite dish when dieting is steamed/boiled rice and steamed/boiled broccoli with garlic, i love it. Steamed is better than boiled, remember that, in the UK you can get a good steamer for £7 and the size of the steaming pots is the right size for average portions. Exercise, well if you don't want to build you thight, the elliptical trainer is best, cycling builds the leg and thigh muscles, walking, well if you can cycle/ elliptical, whats the point of walking? Do four days a week, 30-40 minutes each on a hard intensity, you age is important, make sure your heart rate is about 220 minus your age and 70% of that value, that is roughly your aerobic heart rate. Mesure your heart rate as you exercise and adjust the load accordingly. To lose weight, for me, i work 14 miles from home, i cycle to work and back 5 days a week, 2 evenings i weight train and on Tuesday i play five a side football and my diet is good, it has worked for me.
