Can using an elliptical trainer everyday help me lose alot of weight and get into better shape?

Are You know decision of this problem? Hello I try and use the elliptical trainer in the morning before breakfast for about 30 minutes and again at night for another 30-40 minutes. I always adjust the clamp/incline to a high number and set the resistance on a high number like 13/10. I also do crunches in the sauna as well to build muscle and burn fat. So will this help me lose weight fast as long as I watch what I eat to? I try to get up to 2-2.5miles on the elliptical.

In this case my opinion is ya that will definitely help. just don't slip on the eating.
